EVERTON ATTACKER ON TARGET FOR BRAZIL

Everton star Richarlison was on target for Brazil in their World Cup 2022 qualifier against Ecuador in the South American region. The ex-Watford attacker scored one of the goals as the Selecao ran out 2-0 winners over Ecuador to secure another victory on the road to Qatar at the end of next year.

Five-time world champions Brazil had to wait till the second half to see off their visitors in Porto Alegre. The Brazilians scored two second half goals to secure victory at the end of their matchday seven clash with the Ecuadorians.

Brazil took the lead in their World Cup 2022 qualifying clash with the Ecuadorians through the aforementioned Richarlisonon 65 minutes before star player Neymar wrapped up the win at the end of the game. Paris Saint Germain (PSG) attacker scored the second goal for Brazil from the penalty spot.

Ecuador came into the game against Brazil on the back of three successive wins in the World Cup 2022 qualifiers in the CONMEBOL region but they were unable to even maintain their unbeaten run against their hosts with the outcome of the game. The Ecuadorians would be hoping to bounce back from that defeat when they take on Peru at home next week Tuesday.

For the Brazilians, the win makes it five straight victories at the start of the World Cup 2022 qualifiers. The 2014 FIFA World Cup hosts have recorded the maximum 15 points from their first five games in the South American qualifiers ahead of Argentina in second place. Brazil have four more points than their arch rivals on the standings. Up next for the Brazilians is a tricky trip to play Paraguay in Asuncion on Tuesday.

The game against Paraguay is the last for Brazil before they play hosts to the other South American teams at the 2021 Copa America tournament.
